Prayer

Dear Lord, as we gather today in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, we thank you for the overwhelming gift of your Holy Spirit. We worship you as our Creator, our Redeemer, our Saviour, our brother, and Friend. We acknowledge our need of you and that we are come seeking your wisdom, grace, and forgiveness. We stand upon your promises today, remembering that we have been created in your image and made co-heirs with Christ. Receive our worship today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Reading – Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus the Great High Priest

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Benediction

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
