If you are looking for guidance for a longer time of Sunday worship then you are welcome to use this outline as a starting place.

Opening prayer

Lord God, we thank you for the mystery of your Grace and your incredible Creation. Thank you that when you created us in your image, that you chose to create both male and female and you were pleased with your creation – it was good and pleasing in your sight. In this month of August, we celebrate the uniqueness and beauty of all women in our communities and we thank you for the important roles they play in our society and in the body of Christ. Teach us that we are all ‘known’ by you and that your love for us is unconditional. May our love for one another be a witness to our broken world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Call to worship

Ephesians 4: 25-27

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

Benediction

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all now and forever more. Amen.
